Mens Short Program Starting Order; Bacchini Withdrawal

The men are down to 48 entries, meaning six skaters in each of the eight groups. Home country skater Paolo Bacchini is injured and withdrew from the competition, and Karel Zelenka didn't have enough time to come to Turin so Italy will have no substitute. Here are the start orders for the short program; it begins tomorrow morning. Denis Ten moved into the final two groups of skaters with the withdrawal of Bacchini changing the groups from 5/5/5/5/5 to 6/6/6/6, and he drew the very final position of the night. The big names fighting for medals all skate in the second to last group, including Takahiko Kozuka, Nobunari Oda, Patrick Chan, and Daisuke Takahashi all skating after one-another. Brian Joubert and Adam Rippon, who probably has an outside chance at a medal, skate in the final group.
