Pardon My French..

In case you haven't been following this saga, French pair Vanessa James and Yannick Bonheur are no more. James is now skating with country mate Maximin Coia, who skated with Adeline Canac for several seasons. There seems to be plenty of "he-said, she-said" going on with the situation, and Vanessa even shared her side of the break-up on the FSU message board. However, that is all boring! I hear today that one of the major possible reasons for the split is that Ingo Steuer was interested in working with James, but was NOT willing to take her on if she continued skating with Bonheur. I don't know more behind that situation and whether it was an attitude or ability problem, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the new couple does move to Germany to train with Steuer.

Love the new layout Tony.. the site looks great.
As far as Vanessa James goes.. she was born in Canada, grew up in Bermuda, moved to the US.. competed at the US nationals and at the UK nationals and has now decided that she's actually French...
Let's hope the ISU puts a stop to this kind of nationality shopping sooner rather than later..
